DUTIES OF THE CHAIRPERSON OF
THE LIBRARY FACULTY ASSEMBLY
The Chairperson of the Library Faculty Assembly
shall:
II. F.1.
Serve on the Executive Committee of the LFA.
II. F.2.
Preside at meetings of the Library Faculty if the Dean of Library
Services cannot attend and fails to appoint a designate.
II. F.3.
Preside over monthly meetings of the LFA.
II. F.4. Call
additional meetings of the Library Faculty as needed.
II. F.5.
Select an acting chairperson to organize each standing committee.
II. F.6. Be
responsible for LFA communications.
II. F.7.
Welcome new faculty to the Library and extend an invitation to attend
the assembly meetings.
II. F.8.
Maintain the perpetual calendar.
II. F.9.
Prepare the annual report of the LFA.
II. F.10.
Call the first meeting of the new LFA to elect officers.
II. F.11.
Represent the Library Faculty at the University Senate or other
meetings, as appropriate.
II. F.12.
When appropriate, transmit documents passed by the Library Faculty
Assembly and approved by the Dean to the Executive Committee of the Faculty
Senate.
