Edit #4: Add, update and maintain journal holdings information in the EBSCO A-Z List, using the EBSCO A-Z administration software (drop #17)
Merge #1 and #7: Communicate and maintain good working relationships with vendors regarding electronic resource technical issues
Remove #11; Replace with “Collaborate with collection development committee to supply statistical data for collection development policies”
Merge #9 and #20: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various library departments involved in access and service of electronic resources
Remove #3; Replace with “Responds to, investigates, and resolves performance issues related to access and maintenance of electronic resources”

B. Mentoring- would like library to reinstitute mentoring program (New Employee Orientation Program); which committee would handle this (LFAC)? Be on the lookout for similar programs or initiatives

POSITION TITLE: Electronic Resources Librarian
(Vacant)
POSITION SUMMARY:
12-month
tenure-track position. Responsible for all aspects of the
life cycle of electronic resources, such as coordinating the purchasing, licensing,
and archiving of all electronic materials; implementing and managing electronic
resource management applications, including Voyager, EBSCO A-Z list, and LinkSource products; setting up trials and pilots as
needed; working with systems department to manage WebFeat;
keeping abreast of developments in electronic resources; working closely with other
library departments; and progressing
successfully along the tenure and promotion track and participating fully as a
member of the library faculty.
SUPERVISION
RECEIVED:
Reports to the Dean
of the Library; works collaboratively with the Acquisitions, Reference, and
Systems Departments.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Supervises 1 support
staff member and one or more student assistants as appropriate.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in
Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent
terminal degree; ability to work independently and in a team environment;
effective organizational, interpersonal and communications skills, including
ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals, both
internal and external to the library; ability to use technology effectively and
to adapt to technological and organizational change; evidence of a commitment
to service excellence and to serve in professional community outreach roles;
proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
ADDITIONAL
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize and set priorities in a team environment; work experience in a relevant area; experience with BANNER; budgetary experience; background in serials or in systems librarianship.
