The responsibility for selection of library materials and resources rests with the library faculty. Any University faculty member may participate in the selection process. Faculty unfamiliar with the process may contact their faculty member serving as Library Representative or their Library Department Liaison for information and assistance.

The Library will consider the purchase requests for books, periodicals, newspapers, microforms, manuscripts, music scores, government documents, audio-visual materials, computer software, Internet resources, and other information sources that support the educational and research missions of Indiana State University.
