Meeting of Vigo Lodge No 16 B of L. F.
(Terre Haute Ind Sunday May 9th 1875)

Meeting assembled and called to order at 3.20. Vice Master Gould occupying the chair in the absence of Master Blair. Lodge being opened in due form, The Roll of Officers was called. Master Blair - V. M. Gould + R S. Debs + F S Miller + Treasurer Ebbage + Warden Kelly - Conductor Barr - I G Mullen + O G Kelly - Chaplain Ebbage + P M Condiff +

Bro A Mullen was appointed V. M - Bro Davis OG - Bro White Warden and Bro Debs Conductor during the evening.

No 2 The minutes of previous meeting were read and adopted. No 3 - 4 - 5 Bro Debs reported that he had received $5.00 from Geo. Hayward, and had remitted it to the F. Secretary. No 6 - 7 - 8 - Regular motion made and seconded that a committee of Three should be appointed to demand an immediate settlement, of all brothers, indebted to the lodge for ball tickets, borrowed money etc, and to report the state of financial matters in open lodge, at the second regular meeting from this. Carried.

The committee appointed were Bro Miller - Ebbage and Debs.

The following resolution were offered by Bro F. Mullen, and were adopted. Whereas, The members of this organization have been placed under many obligations to Mr James Grace, Engine Dispatcher of the Vandalia RR at Terre Haute, for the kindness shown, in permitting members of our order, to "lay off" on the occasion of a recent visit from our Grand Secretary and Treasurer Sayre. Therefore be it

Resolved; that the members of this division of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman, tender to Mr. Grace their sincere thanks, and that they are ready at any time, to return the kindness. And be it further

Resloved; That these resolution be placed on the minutes of the lodge, and a copy of the same be presented to Mr. Grace

Regular motion made and seconded that we should manifest our appreciation to Bro Sayre's kindness in making an extraordinary effort to come to Terre Haute for our sole benefit, by sending him, a small portion of the finance contained in our treasury.

Motion made and seconded that it should be laid on the table Carried. Closed. No 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 13 - 14 - Motion made and seconded that when a brother of our division takes the occasion to lay off a trip, he should endeavor to get said trip, for another brother, should there be one who has no regular engine. Carried. No 15 - 16 Meeting was called to a close by Worthy Acting Master Gould at 5.20 P. M.
