Meeting of Vigo Lodge No 16 B of L. F.
(Terre Haute Ind Friday Evening May 28th 1875)
Meeting called to order at 8.45 P. M. The Roll of Officers was then called.
Master Blair + V M. Gould + Rec. S. Debs + F. S. Miller + Treasurer Ebbage + Warden Southard - Conductor Mullen + I G. Mullen - O G. Kelly - Chaplain Bentz + P. M Condiff -. The following brothers were all appointed to fulfill vacant official stations during session. Bro Barr as Warden, Bro Chapel of Division 14 as I G. Bro Bentz as O G. and Bro Ebbage as P. M. Bro J. Kelly was the only member present. The usual order of business was postponed until after the admission of Jeffers Brannen and David Wolf. Balloting favorable for both, they were initiated according to ritual of the fraternity. the order of business was then continued. 2d, The minutes of previous meeting were read and adopted. 3d-4th 5th-6th-7th Received the following applications for membership; Fredrick Shewmaker - Age 21 years - Residence Terre Haute - Occupation Engineer on the Vandalia RR. John Kurlin - Age 24 years - Residence Terre Haute - Occupation Engineer E & CRR. Purley Snyder - Age 18 years - Occupation Fireman - Residence Terre Haute. - J. O'Connel - Age 18 years - Residence Terre Haute - Occupation Fireman - Julian Pruitt Residence Decatur Ill Occupation Fireman. A committee of three, Bros Ebbage, Bentz, and Barr, were then appointed to investigate the above men. 8th Motion made and seconded that Master Blair should purchase regalias to the best of his ability. Carried. 9th - 10th - closed - 11th Bro Debs presented bills for printing at Terre Haute and Galion amts $16.70 which were allowed. 12th - 13th - 14th Bro Gould suggested that we take a collection for Bro Chapel of Div. 14 who was out of employment which was done. 15th -16th Meeting closed at 11.30
