Minute Proceedings of Vigo Lodge No 16 of the B of L F.
(Terre Haute Ind Friday August 6th 1875)
Meeting called to order by V. M. Gould at 9.30 P.M. The Roll of Officers was called.

The following appts were made for the evening.
Bro Kirlin as Vice - Bro Ebbage as F. S. Bro White as Warden Bro Debs as Condr Bro Ganey as O G. Bro Hurst as Chaplain and Bro Brennan as P. M.
Motion made and seconded to postpone the usual order of business until after the admission of Andrew Ospring elected candidate Carried. The candidate was then admitted with all due ceremony.
Motion made and seconded to dispense with the order of business and adjourn the same until next meeting Carried. Before closing, Bro Debs informed the lodge that he had received a letter from Bro Sayre in regard to the jewel question, which at the request of the lodge, he read before closing.
Discussion then arose as to what measures should be taken, when the Act Master, requested the R. S to write to Bro Leach, and state to him the full circumstances and ask a retention of the $1800
. and if this was not granted, to send back the jewels to the manufacturer as a present. This was sanctioned by all the brothers present.
The By Law in regard to the 25 ct fine was read for the second time and was ordered into operation at the next regular meeting. The lodge was closed in due form at 11.00 P. M.
