Terre Haute Ind. Sunday May 9th 1880
The meeting was called to order at the usual hour; Worthy Master Ebbage in the chair and the following members present:
Brothers Ebbage, Southard, Flaherty, Fox, Mullen, Dodson, Rugan, Bennett and E.M. Sherbourne.
On motion the usual order of business was suspended and Mr Chas. Mc
Farlane an applicant for membership who had been duly elected, was admitted to both degrees of the Order.
The regular order of business was then resumed. Death Claims Nos
16, 17, 18 and 19 were presented amounting to $11.00
each. On motion the Treasurer was ordered to pay all four of the death claims at once. A debate was then had in regard to the expediency of the lodge giving a rail-road excursion and picnic to some circumspect point near the city.
On motion of Brother Sherbourne the matter was referred to a committee of seven consisting of Brothers Mullen, Flaherty, Debs, Dodson, C.E. Sherbourne, James Smith and Rugan.
The meeting then adjourned.
