The meeting was called to order at 4 OClock P.M. Brother E. V. Debs occupied the chair and Bro Charles Bennett acted as Rec. Secretary. The rules were suspended and the application of James Robinson for membership was read. Brothers Fox, Ebbage and Cook were appointed as a committee to investigate the character of the applicant. Edward Huff also applied for membership and Brothers James Smith, Leahy and Ernest Sherburne were appointed to investigate his character and standing. The withdrawal card of Brother J.D. White of No
36 was again taken up. A long debate followed in which many of the members took part. On motion the Rec. Secretary was directed to write to No
36 and secure a full statement of the facts concerning his standing and worthiness and present the same to the next regular meeting of the Lodge. Brother Thomas Grace applied for sick benefits and on motion of Brother Mullen the application was referred to the Relief Committee. On motion of Brother Ebbage, a fine of $100
was assessed against the person that was in possession of the Keys of the Lodge.
The meeting then adjourned.
