The Department of Aviation Technology was formerly known as the Department of Aerospace Technology.

Scope and Contents note

The Department of Aviation Technology Records consist of internal office generated documents such as personnel reports, financial reports, accreditation, publications, correspondence, scholarships, and search committee documentation.

The personnel reports supply information on both former employees and students from the Aviation department. The financial reports chronicle departmental budget and travel authorizations. There are documents explaining the accreditation process to become a pilot. Publications include brochures of the aviation program. Numerous pieces of correspondence display an account of committee meetings (or minutes). Scholarships are detailed by applications, awards, and referral letters for the Talent Award. Search Committee information is included about the selection of the Chairperson for the department.

Recommendation for the use of this collection would be to researchers looking for financial data for comparison, a brief history of the department, or just a glimpse into the former department of Aviation Technology.
