12:30-1:30 Free Speech, Really? – Darlene Hantzis [92 attendance]
2-3 Deliberating Democracy – All Presenters [75 attendance]

6-7:15 Pizza and Politics: this program’s target audience is first-year students but everyone is invited to come to this PARTICIPATORY event: ‘A Democratice Dialogue about Food, Inc.’ (chapters 9, 10,11)

September 28, 4pm Roger Newman: Professor Newman wrote ‘Hugo Black: A Biography’ (1994; won the Scribes Book Award; finalist for Pulitzer Prize); co-author: Banned Films: Movies, Censors and the First Amendment (1982); editor-in-chief of “The Constitution and Its Amendments (1999); Editor, Yale Biographical Dictionary of American Law (1999).
