Joanne Kaczmarek

Joanne Kaczmarek is the Archivist for Electronic Records at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She participates in several internal and external initiatives aimed at managing information resources. Prior to her current position Joanne was the project coordinator for UIUC on the Mellon-funded OAI-PMH Cultural Heritage Repository project.

This presentation will provide an overview of the University of Illinois "participation in the Library of Congress" National Digital Information Infrastructure for Preservation Program (NDIIPP) with the ECHO DEPository project and how that work continues to inform and guide the development of our own digital preservation program. Remarks will specifically focus on interoperability issues, the launch of our institutional repository, and collaboration initiatives we have committed to since NDIIPP began.
