The Lodge met in regular session . Worthy Master Fox occupied the chair. The roll of officers was called after which the minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Propositions for membership
The following propositions for membership were read : --
C. E. Brewer recommended by E. V. Debs
C. E. Brewer recommended by E. V. Debs James Kurwin recommended by J. H. Geary Wm McCutchen recommended by J. OBrien R. Montgomery recommended by J. H. Geary James Phipps recommended by E. V. Debs G. J. Philbrick recommended by M. P. Lantz
The foregoing propositions were referred to a Committee consisting of Bros. J. H. Van Cleve, Chas. Scott and James Southard for investigation.
Reports of Committees
The Committee on investigation to when had been referred the propositions of J. F. Clark, Frank Baker, and M. J. Houran reported favorably on the same. The reports were concurred in. The same Committee reported unfavorably on the proposition of H. W. Stephens. The report was concurred in and the candidate was declared rejected.
Balloting for Candidates
The Lodge balloted for and duly elected Frank Baker, J. F. Clark and M. J. Houran to become members of the Order.
Admission of Candidates
M. J. Houran, McE. B. Glenn, Frank Baker and E. G. Edwards were admitted to full membership in the Order.
A communication from Bro. A. Hennell of Lodge No 44 was read to the affect that E. E. Hill an elected candidate for admission to this Lodge, was unworthy of membership. On motion of Bro. Ebbage, a committee consisting of Bro. James Dodson and Wm Davis was appointed to investigate the matter and report thereon at the following meeting.
Bro. Ed. Rugan presented himself for reprimand in compliance with the report of the committee and action of the committee and action of the lodge at the previous meeting.
The chair appointed Bro. Ebbage who administered the reprimand.
A donation of $1500 was made to Bro. P. J. Cronin, from the treasury, on account of the disability if the said brother, in breaking his leg.
Assessments 23 & 24 of Chas. Brokaw. W m Nayler & P. J. Cronin, also three months dues for P. J. Cronin were allowed
A bill in favor of J. T. Mc Coy, in the sum of $650 for glues & crepe for Wm Stewart's funeral was read and allowed.
The meeting then adjourned.
