Keyword Search: Using AND, OR, & NOT It is more effective to conduct a keyword search by using the Boolean operators AND, OR, or NOT to combine two or more concepts. Boolean operators help focus your topic, limit your results, and make results more precise. The Keyword Search screen shown below allows you to conduct this type of search by clicking on the appropriate boolean operator between the search boxes.
