Keyword Search: Using the Quick Search Screen

A keyword search is the quickest way to get information from a database. However, it is important to remember that a keyword search does not search every word inside every item in the library. It only searches the information that is in the fields of each record in our catalog.

The library catalog's Quick Search screen automatically defaults to a keyword search with relevancy rankings.
