Introduction

The ISU library has many databases you can search to find journal, magazine, and newspaper articles. Of these, Ebsco is one of the largest, giving you access to articles on a wide variety of subjects. The goal of this tutorial is to demonstrate how you can use Ebsco to easily find the materials you need.

After completing this tutorial, you will be able to use Ebsco to:

Do a title or author search.
Use keyword and subject searching.
Use phrase searching to make a search more specific.
Use Boolean operators to combine search terms.
Limit your search results.
Use truncation to pluralize or expand a word past its root.
Save your searches and access your search history.
