Tracking Down Government Documents: Online

There are several places you can start if you're looking for online government documents:

  • Google Search: Unclesam works just like Google, except that it searches only federal, state, and local government Web sites.

  • FirstGov.gov provides an A-Z federal agency index, a search box, and numerous links arranged by topic.

  • Fedworld provides links to federal resources arranged by topic, with emphasis on research and science.

  • GPO Access provides an A-Z list of federal resources, links arranged by branch of government, news and featured resources, and a student guide to US government.

  • Access Indiana provides numerous links to Indiana state resources and a search box.

Take a look at each one and use the one most suitable for your information needs.
