Introduction: What kind of information do you need?

Deciding what kind of information you are looking for will help you decide where to look. If you are looking for current data; you want to use sources which are contemporary or recently published. Recently published magazines, journals, newspapers, books and legitimate websites would be good choices for information.

Historical or background information can be found in older print sources such as encyclopedias or older editions and books. Don't forget to look at past editions of magazines, journals and newspapers for historical information (remember, current news does become historical news!!!).
