Subject Headings: Browsing the Subject List

Instead of guessing which words might be the best to use, you can streamline your search strategy by identifying the assigned subject heading for the concept: World War II. In Proquest, this is done by browsing the subject list.

To do this, go to the Advanced Search screen and scroll down to the "Subject" box under "More Search Options". Then click on "Browse subjects" to access the subject search and list functions.
