Trade articles also use the jargon or language of the discipline; however the language is not as formal or specialized as scholarly sources.


Sample trade language:
Last January, the Paperboard Packaging Council held its 60th National Paperboard Packaging Competition in Arlington, Va. And while design counts, the judges also analyze an entry's functional characteristics as well as its ability to stand out within various retail environments. The winners in the confectionery category, which encompasses all forms of candy, sweets, nuts and gum, included: R.M.
