Web Search Tools

A Web search tool is a program that searches the Web for keywords the user inputs. Web search tools are also called Web search engines. Although some Web search tools search billions of pages on the Web, this is still only a small fraction of the pages transmitted over the Web. For research purposes, Web search tools can be used to retrieve Web documents from government agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and companies.
