Responsibility: About Us: Part Two

Look for the name of the author or organization who produced the web page.

Often there will be no specific person named, but there should at least be a clearly identified organization, with a mailing address and the email address of a webmaster or a contact person.

Look also for a statement about the goals or philosophy of the organization.

Knowing who is responsible for a web site will help you consider the other factors of authority, purpose, documentation, and updates.
