Notes:

Originally built as a baseball field by the City of Terre Haute to commemorate World War I casualties. Used by the Three-I Baseball League until 1956.

Phase I-1967

Dedicated:

September 16, 1967

Notes:

Phase I saw construction of bleachers on North side of field, reorientation of the playing field and installation of Astro-turf.

Phase II-1970

Cost:

$2,000,000

Notes:

Phase II involved razing the old horseshoe type grandstand and installing concrete seating section, press boxes, and new dressing room on the west side of field. Completed project provides seating for 20,500 people. Memorial Arch is all that remains of original structure.
