“How to Turn Your Dissertation Into A Book” and “Wabash Valley Author’s Showcase”

Come help us celebrate National Library Week (April 11-17). The ISU Library will be celebrating the week with a couple of different events. The first event will be presented in two parts on the same date Tuesday, April 13 in the Events Area. The Library Consortium of Vigo County (LCVC) will sponsor the two part event about writing and publishing. The first part of the event is from 4:00-5:00 p.m. “How to Turn Your Dissertation Into a Book” and will highlight faculty speakers who have published their dissertations as books.

From 5:00-5:30 p.m. There will be a reception for people attending the first part of the event and for people who are going to attend the second part of the event highlighting the “Wabash Valley Author’s Showcase”.

The “Wabash Valley Authors Showcase” will be presented in the Events Area from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker will speak from 5:35-6:00 p.m. The keynote speaker is Mike Lunsford, writer for the Terre Haute Tribune Star author of “The Off Season: The Newspaper Stories of Mike Lunsford” and “Sidelines: The Best of the Basketball Stories …” After the speaker’s address there be an opportunity for audience members to go from one author’s table to another (interactive stations) and speak with published authors from the Wabash Valley.
