Printing and Copying in the Library
Students can print from their allotment to any of the networked printers on campus. The library has printers on the 1st Floor, 3rd Floor, and Lower Level that can print both black and white and color.
When sending your job to the printer, choose Student_BW for a black and white document, or Student_Color for a color print. Black and white documents cost $.03 per page; color printing is $.15 per page.
Students can print from their laptop to any printer on campus after installing the software located on the downloads page under the printers link.
Your documents are kept in the queue for 24 hours. More information about student printing on campus can be found on OIT's website.

Note: Library staff cannot make change. Use the bill to bill exchanger to get dollar bills for the printer/copier.
Alternatives to Printing/Copying
Use email to send yourself copies of Library Catalog screens using commands built into the Online Catalog, or to attach your Microsoft Office documents for saving. Many library databases also allow you to email copies of full text articles. Students can use their My ISU email account or other email services.
ISU Students, Faculty, and Staff also have the option of using their network space to save documents.
Scanners on the 1st floor can be used to create PDFs that you can save and send to yourself.
Patrons with a printing allotment can use the scanners located on the first floor to scan documents and print copies using their printing allotment.
The Library can not give refunds for failed Student Allotment print jobs. To get a refund to the allotment, Take your print job to either the CSC or OIT Tech Support desk in the Library within seven days of printing. Visit OIT's FAQ on Printing for more detailed information about what will be refunded.
