Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership Papers

This collection includes board records, correspondence, financial documents, interview transcripts, manuscripts, newsletters, and other documents related to the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.

In 1970, Robert K. Greenleaf, a native of Terre Haute, Indiana, published paper entitled The Servant as Leader, a landmark work that launched the modern servant leadership movement.

Greenleaf also established the Center for Applied Ethics, (later known as the Greenleaf Center), to promote the philosophy and practice of servant leadership. The Center has published extensively on the subject, and continues to host servant-leaders from around the world in an annual conference.
